The cycle of a smile

There was this middle-aged man smiling at a woman when walking in the park. He didn’t know that woman lost her job the same morning. The woman went back home and smiled at her little son. She didn’t know that her son woke up crying from a nightmare. On the way to school, the boy stopped and helped an old lady out to cross the road and smiled at her. He didn’t know that the old lady felt lonely for a long time. On the way home, the old lady sat down and smiled at a girl. She didn’t know that the girl knew that our smiles can be contagious.
